SCI Coal Township Release Paths

SCI Coal Township Release Fields

SCI Coal Township Release Dates

Request SCI Coal Township Records

SCI Coal Township Release Preparation
SCI Coal Township’s Reentry Service Office works with people who are within 18 months of a minimum or release date. Reentry Parole Agents coordinate information, workshops, and links to community services. The Northumberland County Human Services Plan documents a separate local reentry network. These are preparation and coordination functions, not public calendars of who will leave or when.
The time frame does not prove that parole will be granted. The minimum date opens an ordinary point for consideration, while the Board retains discretion and release prerequisites may remain. Community corrections also needs precise wording. A move from SCI Coal Township to a community corrections center may remain within DOC’s structured custody or supervision system. SCI Coal Township Release Authority
The official state page says SCI Coal Township was dedicated on April 26, 1993. It was part of Governor Robert P. Casey’s Operation Jump Start, which began in 1990 in response to state-prison overcrowding and as an economic initiative. That history establishes the institution as part of Pennsylvania’s statewide correctional system.
Location can cause confusion. Both SCI Coal Township and Northumberland County Jail are in Coal Township, but they answer to different governments and serve different record systems. The Northumberland County Jail release page applies only when the county facility was the custodian. SCI Coal Township requires the PA DOC locator, Parole Board material, and state records.
This distinction also controls where a person goes. A county jail exit can follow bail or a local order. A state-prison exit follows a state sentence, parole decision, discharge, community corrections placement, or state transfer. Never infer one from the other.
